Hallway Page:
A static page that acts as a sitemap that helps spiders scan the other pages of the same website.
Heading Tag:
An HTML tag that is located in the header of the website thereby stressing more on the SEO aspect of the website.
Hidden Keywords:
Keywords placed in the source code of the website that are not viewable to the human eye but are created specifically for search engine spiders.
Hidden Text:
SEO spam tactic that is used to hide contextual text elements from the view of the human eye but are created specifically for search engine spiders.
Hijacking:
Unethical methods to control the website from a control panel by an unassigned third party.
Hits:
Total number of downloads of a resource file from a server. Not related to website hits.
Homepage:
The index.html file that is the main page a user sees on the first resource call.
.HtAccess:
Apache directory level configuration files that are used to password protect redirected files.
HTML:
Hyper Text Markup Language.
HTML Source:
The source code of the webpage as seen by HTML code.
HTTP 301:
URL Request of the resource that has been moved permanently.
Hubs:
Centralized Web 2.0 websites that are interrelated to the main website.
Hyperlinks:
URL based links that navigate to various other resources with or without anchor text.
